Tenon Jig with Micro Adjustment
This tenon jig with micro adjustment provides the safest, most accurate method of producing straight, angled or mitered tenons. This easy to use jig holds the workpiece vertically, allowing each tenon cheek to be cut cleanly in a single pass. The width of cut is controlled with a fine-threaded micro adjustment knob to ensure accurate, repeatable cuts and tight fitting mortise and tenon joints.
The jig sits on a 19mm wide by 9.5mm deep by 200mm long mitre slider bar, designed for industry standard mitre channels. Two slider bars are supplied, one with micro adjustable set screws for a zero play fit. The large aluminium base ensures stability on the work table and can be configured for use on the left or right hand side of the table. The base features both coarse and micro cutting width adjustment, set using the graduated scale and scale pointer. The base runs on two parallel tracks, ensuring it remains square to the blade during adjustment.
The jig fence is adjustable through a 45° range for angled tenons and features a backstop to align the workpiece vertically. The backstop can be set from 90° to 45° for cutting mitered tenons and includes a positive stop at 90° for quick setup. All adjustments are made using ratchet action locking levers which can be positioned out of the way to prevent obstruction. The clamping arm will accept stock up to 85mm thick and the jaw features a soft, no mar pad to protect the workpiece. The large handwheel allows easy exertion of clamping pressure and a quick-release button instantly disengages the clamp for fast repositioning of the workpiece.
